A bus travelling to Makkah crashed into a bridge, killing at least 20 Umrah pilgrims and injuring 29 others, at Aqaba Shaar in the southern Asir region on Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred on a road at Aqaba Shaar that connects Abha city with Mahayil Asir governate.
