Red Crescent App to Monitor Violations of Obstructing Ambulances

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority, in collaboration with the General Traffic Department, has launched an application for automatic monitoring and recording of violations related to the obstruction of movement of ambulances.  

This monitoring feature of the app became active on March 26th and it will record other violations including the motorists following the path of ambulances that are rushing to their destinations. 

The launch of the app hopes to preserve lives, improve traffic safety, and increase the percentage of drivers' compliance with the appropriate lanes. By achieving these objectives, ambulance services' efficiency and quality are more likely to improve. 

The launch of the app followed the awareness campaign in February, which was under the slogan “Make the Way for”. The campaign was run on social media in the hopes of educating the community about making way for ambulances to help them reach hospitals on time and save lives.
