Umrah Bookings for the First 20 days of Ramadan Have Started

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has started booking for those who wish to perform Umrah during the first 20 days of the holy month of Ramadan.

Booking for Umrah should be done through mobile applications Tawakkalna and Nusuk, and it's a must for all, whether it is Saudi citizens, resident expatriates, or those coming from abroad.

However, Umrah booking facility for the last ten days of Ramadan will be started later, the ministry added, without revealing a timeframe.

On the apps, pilgrim traffic at different times on different days will be displayed in three colors at the time of booking: dark green represents very low peak times, medium peak times are shown in orange, and dark red reflects high peak times.

Those who wish to perform Umrah must take a permit or else a fine of up to 10,000 riyals will be applied to them if caught, the Saudi Ministry of Interior previously said.

It is expected that the number of Umrah pilgrims in this year's Ramadan will be much higher than the previous years, after the Kingdom enabled in August 2022 all types of visa holders and those coming from all across the world for tourism and visit purposes to perform Umrah during their stay.
