Founding Day Events Across Saudi Arabia

Founding Day is celebrated on February 22nd in the Kingdom, which celebrates the establishment of Saudi Arabia as a state in 1727. As it is an annual public holiday, there are various events lined-up to celebrate the occasion.

February 22nd will be a holiday for all public and private sector employees as well as students, while public sector employees and students also get the day off on Thursday, February 23rd, which means they get a four-day long holiday.

Here are some events happening for Founding Day:

Saudi Arabia's history and cultural heritage will be shown off during the march, which will include horse processions and art sculptures. The march will take place at Riyadh’s Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz Al Awwal Road on Friday, February 24th  after Isha prayer (7:21 p.m.).

Theatre Performance
