Housing Units of Saudis in Makkah Can be Rented Out to Hajj Visitors

The Makkah Mayoralty's Pilgrims' Housing Committee reported that it has begun to receive inquiries from residents to rent out residential properties to house the Hajj pilgrims.
 

In order to finish the processes for providing permits for their residential units in this regard, the committee urged owners of all residential units who wish to rent out their residential units to facilitate the pilgrims to get in touch with the designated engineering offices immediately.

The mayoralty announced that over the next period, it would continue taking applications from citizens. 

The mayoralty and the Civil Defense approved several engineering consulting firms to inspect the housing units for pilgrims in order to confirm that they met the requirements outlined in the regulations and to give a fitness certificate in accordance with those findings.

In order to facilitate the issuing of permits for utilizing their dwelling units to accommodate the pilgrims, the committee invited the citizens to get in touch with it to learn about the specific terms and conditions.
 

All building owners who wanted to rent out their properties were urged by the mayoralty to comply with all construction and safety rules, as well as to offer all necessary safety and security measures.
