KSA to Implement Wage Protection Service for Domestic Help

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) will implement the Wage Protection Service for the salaries of domestic workers through the Musaned platform.

The ministry announced its decision to do so on Monday, May 13 and revealed that the first phase of the Wage Protection Service for domestic workers will be implemented from Jul.1.

The service will be implemented for workers who arrive under new contracts.

As for domestic workers with existing contracts, the service will be implemented in phases based on the number of domestic workers with each employer.

All domestic workers in Saudi Arabia will be under this service by Jan. 1, 2026.

The new service will ensure that domestic workers are granted their rights and it will ensure transparency in the payment of salaries through the use of digital wallets and the Musaned platform.

The Wage Protection Service will be implemented for employers with more than four domestic workers from Jan. 1, 2025.

The service will be initiated from Jul. 1, 2025, for employers with three or more domestic workers.

Employers with two or more domestic workers will be under the new service from Oct. 1, 2025.

The new service improves the security and reliability of transferring wages, which protects the rights of both employers and workers.
