More than 2.5m people Attend the 'Khatm Al-Quran' Prayers in Makkah

The Grand Mosque began to fill with worshippers from the early hours of the day.

More than 2.5m people Attend the 'Khatm Al-Quran' Prayers in Makkah

More than 2.5 million worshippers including Umrah pilgrims attended the 'Khatm Al-Quran' prayers, the completion of the recitation of the Qur'an in Taraweeh prayers, on Wednesday, Ramadan 28th at the Grand Mosque in Makkah. 

The Head of the Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques Sheikh Abdurahman Al-Sudais led the prayers in the Grand Mosque where more than 2.5 million people were in attendance. 

During the prayers, Sheikh Al-Sudais prayed for the protection of KSA and its leaders as well as other Muslim countries. He also prayed for these countries to be blessed with stability and security. The Sheikh also prayed for forgiveness for all Muslims during the blessed night. 

Worshippers gathered in the Grand Mosque from the early hours of the day. The mosque's floors, piazzas, and courtyards were filled with worshippers and even the streets and roads surrounding the mosque were packed with worshippers. 

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque had implemented all security measures and necessary services to ensure safety and comfort for all worshippers.
