Saudi Arabia Announces the Launch of the New AI Academy

In an attempt to advance the use of artificial intelligence and aid Saudi Arabia's effort to become digital, the global consulting firm Deloitte has launched an AI academy in the country.

The London-based company announced at the Experience Analytics conference in the Saudi capital on Thursday that the Deloitte Middle East AI Institute in Riyadh will create customized solutions to meet the needs of the Saudi and Middle Eastern markets, with a focus on generative AI and machine learning.

The institution plans to develop business applications that make use of generative AI and machine learning, much like the technology that underlies the ChatGPT language tool.

The AI Institute will also develop talent and open doors for Saudi youths who want to work in the artificial intelligence industry. In order to give students a platform to develop industrial skills, Deloitte aims to work with major universities in the Kingdom.

Yousef Barkawie, Deloitte Middle East AI & Data Leader said, “The Deloitte AI Institute is a significant milestone in our journey to drive the progress of businesses and public sector organizations in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East through emerging technology applications.”

“It will play a crucial role in advancing AI capabilities and fostering a culture of innovation in the region, and elevate the stature of the Middle East as an innovation hub,” he further added.
