Saudi Arabia Approves Plan for Health Insurance for Domestic Workers

Saudi Arabia's Council of Ministers approved the implementation of health insurance rules for domestic workers on Tuesday, May 16th. 

The Cabinet session was chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman at Al Salam Palace in Jeddah. The rules for health insurance for domestic workers were drafted by a committee created under the chairmanship of the Council of Health Insurance.

The rules for health insurance will apply to a household where four or more domestic helpers are employed.

Other issues were addressed at the session and some decisions were also made.
