Saudi Arabia Introduces New Visa on Arrival for Some Citizens

A significant adjustment to Umrah visas has been announced by Saudi Arabia.

For nationals of a dozen other nations, the kingdom has now announced visa on arrival.

As of August 20th, travellers from the US, the UK, various European countries, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Kazakhstan, Brunei, and China can now obtain Umrah visas upon arrival in the kingdom.

Saudi Arabia has eased the procedure for people interested in applying for a visa on arrival using its official eVisa website.

The new Umrah visa on arrival allows travellers to enter Saudi Arabia through sea, air, or land ports and grants them a 90-day stay inside the country.

In addition to facilitating spiritual journeys, the visas also promote kinship ties and travel opportunities.

Now, tourists can visit their family members who live in Saudi Arabia and learn about the country's rich history.

To take advantage of this option, travellers must pay a $117 visa fee, which includes health insurance.
