The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority in Saudi Arabia foiled on Monday a plan to import almost 1.4 million Captagon tablets into Jeddah.

Some 1,395,930 pills were discovered hidden in a shipment of wooden panels stored in a lorry that was sent into the Kingdom through Jeddah Islamic Port.
The authority said it was working with the General Directorate of Drug Control (GDNC) to tighten procedures around Saudi Arabia's imports and exports.
One individual who was involved in the crime got arrested.
The accused has been referred to the public prosecution.
