KSA Introduces QR Code Visas to Replace Stickers in 7 Countries

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has introduced a new program to replace visa stickers on passports with electronic visas that can be scanned using a QR code.

The program will first be launched in seven countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Egypt, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines, as part of the ministry's efforts to enhance the quality of its consular services.

The goal is to automate the visa application process and enable the issuance of various types of visas, such as work, residency, and visit visas. The Ministry is committed to utilizing the latest technologies to simplify procedures and ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience for visa applicants.
