Saudi Arabia Launches Unified Visa Platform ‘KSA Visa’

Saudi Arabia declared the introduction of the 'KSA Visa' platform on Tuesday, a unified visa system aimed at simplifying visa application processes. This initiative aligns with the government's strategy to boost tourism in the coming years.

Comprehensive Visa Access

Speaking at the Digital Government Forum (DGF) in Riyadh, Abdulhadi Almansouri, Assistant Minister for Executive Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, revealed that the 'KSA Visa' platform is intricately linked to over 30 agencies, ministries, and the private sector. It streamlines the procedures for obtaining various visas, including Hajj, Umrah, tourism, and work visas.

Empowering Government Agencies

The GOV.SA platform, a smart search engine, will empower more than 50 government agencies and private sectors by automating key visa issuance procedures. The platform aims to enhance the overall visitor experience, providing quick information on available visas and their requirements.

Strategic Tourism Goals

Saudi Arabia's move coincides with its goal to increase tourism, especially after unveiling new tourist destinations. The country has set an ambitious target of attracting 150 million annual visits by 2030.

Regional Collaboration and Gulf Tourist Visa

In sync with the efforts of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Saudi Arabia's announcement aligns with plans for a unified Gulf tourist visa. The GCC countries approved this decision at the Doha Summit in November, authorizing interior ministers to implement new visa rules.

Digital Transformation in Focus

Saudi Arabia's push for digital transformation is evident in the issuance of over 18.6 million visas in 2023, with digital visas processed in just 60 seconds. The Kingdom collaborated with 56 countries in the visa digitization journey.
