Saudi Arabia Declares March 11 as National Flag Day

According to the Saudi Press Agency, King Salman has issued an order to celebrate Flag Day annually on March 11 in Saudi Arabia. The announcement was made on Wednesday.

On March 11, 1937, which corresponds to the 27th of Dhu Al Hijjah 1355 in the Islamic calendar, King Abdulaziz approved the flag of the kingdom.

Saudi Arabia declared that every year on February 22, a national holiday would be observed to mark the establishment of the state.
