Netflix Launches Creative Producer Training Program in Saudi Arabia

Streaming service Netflix has launched a seven-week Creative Producer Training program that will help upskill 15 professional Saudi television creative producers to advance their careers in film and television.

The program aims to develop the talent pipeline in Saudi Arabia, and generate a qualified network of talent for the regional and global film industry. 

It will be available exclusively through the University of Southern California (USC) School of Cinematic Arts (SCA).

The initiative, which is led by film and television producer Jason Shuman, will take participants through the process of creating, forming, and executing a TV pitch, pilot script, and writer's room. 

The program started with an in-person workshop in Riyadh for three days, covering a range of skills required to develop TV shows.
