Saudi Authorities Thwart an Attempt to Smuggle 460,000 Captagon Pills

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) in Saudi Arabia foiled on Friday a plan to import almost 460,000 Captagon tablets.

The pills were discovered hidden in the cavities of machinery shipped  into the Kingdom through Duba port.

The authority is working with the General Directorate of Drug Control (GDNC) to tighten procedures around Saudi Arabia's imports and exports.

Two people who were supposed to receive the shipment got arrested.

The accused have been referred to the public prosecution.
