Saudi Authorities Arrested Two People for Smuggling Khat in Jazan

Security personnel in Jazan arrested two men for trying to smuggle khat into the city on Thursday, Jun. 15, after the drugs were discovered in a vehicle in Al Ardah governate. 

The two culprits have been subjected to the appropriate legal procedures.

Security officials in the Al Harth governate also seized 150 kilograms of khat in a separate operation. 

On Wednesday, Jun. 14, eight men were arrested in Jeddah for smuggling amphetamine pills. 

The Kingdom's authorities have made several drug busts in recent months.
