At the Al-Wadiah port, the General Authority of Zakat and Tax of Saudi Arabia prevented an attempted drug smuggling operation by seizing more than 81 kg of cannabis.
According to the state agency SPA, the drugs were concealed inside the roof of a car that was entering the Kingdom through the country's port.

The zakat and tax authority emphasized its dedication to stopping future attempts at drug smuggling and tightening import and export customs regulations.
